Thesis statement is a sentence that states the main idea of a writing assignment and helps control the ideas within the paper. It is not merely a topic. It often reflects an opinion or judgment that a writer has made about a reading or personal experience.
A thesis statement contains a subject and a verb, it is a simple declarative sentence, commonly uses single sentence , and expresses a basic idea.

A thesis statement is clear if it is clearly understandable and is not misleading to the main topic. It is also a strong declarative sentence.
Precise
It is straight to the point.
Restricted
A thesis statement is restricted if it sticks with the topic and do not go over far beyond. It also give a more relative and clear scope of the topic.
Purpose
